Mission

 

The mission of Jefferson Community School is to assist sixth-through-eighth grade students who have been expelled from the parish public school system to learn appropriate academic and behavioral skills, enabling them to return as responsible students to the public middle or high schools.

ACADEMIC STANDARDS

We at JCS offer an excellent academic program. Students are provided every opportunity through our program to be successful and advance to the next grade. Students' participation in class and completion of all assignments is essential to achieve mastery of the subject matter. This is expected from all of our students.

The JCS staff, using the Academic Eligibility Program will monitor student performance very closely. Through a series of progress reports and parent conferences, we hope to impress upon our students the importance of their efforts in maintaining their status as students here.
